Kamakura is hosting an art walk along Yuigamhama Street and around the Hase area, featuring many local artists whose works are on display in cafes, galleries, and other spaces in the area. Look for the white banners with blue polka-dots, know as ‘mizutama’ (water dots) splashed around the neighborhood.
Enjoy the unique selection of very talented artists while checking out some of the stylish cafes in the area! Check out the webpage which, although in Japanese, shows a bit of the artists’ works and, in some cases, additional links to the artists themselves. There is a nice map, showing who is displaying where as well.
If you’re lucky, you may even receive one of the fashionable bamboo ‘uchiwa’ fans, whith blue dots which have been created just for the occasion!
